The Hong Kong Society of Authorized Persons was established in Hong Kong in 2026. It is the first and only society dedicated to Authorized Persons — the architects, civil and structural engineers, and surveyors appointed under the Buildings Ordinance (Cap. 123) to co-ordinate building works, supervise them, and certify to the Buildings Department that the building is completed and structurally safe.
香港建築認可人士公會於2026年在香港成立，是首個、也是唯一一個專門服務認可人士的團體 — 這些根據《建築物條例》（第123章）獲委任的建築師、土木及結構工程師與測量師，負責統籌建築工程、監督施工，並向屋宇署證明樓宇已竣工且結構安全。
香港建筑认可人士公会於2026年在香港成立，是首个、也是唯一一个专门服务认可人士的团体 — 这些根据《建筑物条例》（第123章）获委任的建筑师、土木及结构工程师与测量师，负责统筹建筑工程、监督施工，并向屋宇署证明楼宇已竣工且结构安全。
The Society brings those professionals together, maintains the standard of practice behind the certificates they give, and speaks for the profession as a body.

Hong Kong has regulated its buildings since the territory was ceded to Britain in 1841. The enactments below are the ones that shaped the Authorized Person.
